This is a quick-print base and handles for the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Cordless Compact Fixed Base Router. 

I wanted something I could design and print quickly to use to do some free hand engraving. I've kept the baseplate open on one side so that the bit remains easily visible; I recommend using the vacuum attachment if you have it to aid visibility.

The handles are press fit into the base, so you can adjust the rotation for comfort before gluing them in place (I find a slight rotation inwards toward the router more comfortable).

Printing

Neither the base nor the handles need support.

Print the baseplate face down - i.e. with the chamfer on the print bed and the larger diameter hole ends facing up. 

Print (two) handles standing up. 

I printed both in PLA using a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height, and used a brim to aid bed adhesion. 

Routing

All power tools, including routers, have the potential to cause injury, and you use this baseplate entirely at your own risk. Always secure the workpiece to a fixed work surface. You should be familiar with safe use of any tools you use, follow safe practices, and should wear appropriate personal protection equipment when operating power tools.
