I wanted to set up my CNC to be able to use 3 axis zeroing.  Instead of paying $$$ for one of the machined aluminum plates I put this together.

It works out of the box with Universal Gcode Sender's probing Module.  You can also write some simple gcode to prepend to any job to auto zero.

Directions:

• Print the Model
• Optional - Pause the print before the first top layer so that you can add weight
• Apply metallic tape to sides bottom and top as pictured
• Pole hole though tape where screw hole is and attach wire with M5 screw.
• Attach wire to connector appropriate for your cnc.
• Attach spindle clip or magnet to the other terminal on your connector
• Measure the actual thickness of your touchplate on each axis and put that into your probing routine.

Note: if you use Lead, it may cause cancer in the state of California. ;)
