This is a simple, effective bucket mouse trap that’s fast to print, easy to assemble, and great for catching multiple mice overnight. No supports required, and only a few common hardware items needed.
You’ll need:
A standard 5-gallon bucket
A 3/8" rod (plastic or wooden dowel both work)
4 screws or glue (to secure the plates to the bucket braces)
Printed parts:
2× Bucket Brace
2× Plate
1× Wheel
Assembly:
Slide the wheel onto the rod, insert the rod into the two bucket braces, and place the assembly on the bucket. Secure the plates to the braces with screws or glue. That’s it. There are only a few parts, and assembly should be obvious from the photos.
Tip for best results:
Adding a little weight to one fin of the wheel (I used a couple of large nuts) helps the wheel self-center, making it more reliable for catching multiple mice in a single night. With this setup, you only need bait on two fins instead of all of them.
