I created this model as part of my Voron 2.4 300mm build. It was designed to mount perpendicularly across two DIN rails in the electronics area. It has a good bit of adjustment allowing you to align it as you like. It is design to work with another model here on Printables that I think are the most versitile DIN clips you can use:
https://www.printables.com/model/420009-din-rail-bracket-heat-insert-version-525mm-625mm
To use these you need to print two of the clips and two of the brackets. I attached these using the following process to get it perfectly aligned:
- Place heat set inserts into the DIN clips and the raised portion of the brackets (see photos)
- Attach clips to the rail
- Align the brackets over the clips, adjusting them to line up with the mounting holes (see photos)
- Add the M3 bolts into the adjustable slots and but only screw them in a bit to sit below the top edge allowing you to still slide the brackets along the slides
- Place the LDO Leviathan controller board across the two brackets and adjust each bracket to align where the controller board sits
- Lift the controller board off the brackets carefully and tighten down the bolts in the slider channels (just tight enough to hold them steady careful not to over tighten)
- Place the board back on the brackets and bold it down with to the brackets
I hope these are useful to someone. I know this is a very specific use for people with the Leviathan board who choose to adjust the electronics layout but it works great to put it together in a very organized and well balanced layout.
11/3/2024 - I updated the model to increase the hole size for the heat set insert for a better fit during assembly. I also fixed a slight misalignment in the adjustment slider (didn't effect functionality but it bugged me). I also added the Fusion 3D file if anyone wanted it for easy editing.
Enjoy…
