Summary
My take on Disney's Haunted Mansion Grandfather Clock from the Haunted Mansion Ride in Disneyland (and DisneyWorld) This is my first run at a more complex model, still working to refine as I have the time. I'll post more pics when I finish the paint work. Feel free to help me clean the model up (round some edges, etc). Printed as a single piece, no assembly required and the model was built from scratch.
10/25/2016 Added integrated fixed pendulum in HauntedMansionClock2.stl
10/25/2016 Added pics of paint in progress, using Wicked Silver and Basic Black.
Post-Printing
Airbrush and wipe technique
I sprayed the piece with an automotive fill primer, once that dried used the Wicked Silver and my airbrush applying a fine coat. Then through the use of brushes and rags I would put some Basic Black Acrylic on and rub it off, making sure that the nooks and crannies stayed dark, giving it that haunted house feel. I still need to do the clock face, I'll post anoth picture when that is done.
How I Designed This
Designed on Tinkercad
My first model designed on Tinkercad from Autodesk, post processing with Simplify 3D.
