Mount to secure a Nevermorev4 filter to the front of a Voron Switchwire (at least with the dimensions in an LDO kit). I didn't want to have to permanently mount it anywhere with VBS tape, so this just replaces 2 M5 screws for M5x10s. Also allows to run the fan cable directly into the controller board without any splicing or extensions.
There's similar mounts for having the Nevermorev4 mounted in the rear, but I preferred the aesthetic of a front mount and I find this easier for replacing the carbon every so often. I also feel like this allows it to pull in heat from the bed and circulate it through the enclosure better.
The filter is elevated just enough to run the fan's cable in between it and the mount. I stuck 2 pieces of VBS tape to the back of it (but didn't remove the otherside) to act as a buffer to absorb any potential vibration of it against the enclosure, but there hasn't been in close to 100 hours of use thus far.
Note: this NARROWLY misses my stealthburner during homing, so a Switchwire with slightly different dimensions or a different hot end assembly may hit it. Should be easy enough to take a few mm off after the middle case screw section though.
my printer.cfg for it (plugged into SKR Mini E3 v3.0's unused xstop pin) if anyone needs:
######
# Nevermore Filter Fan
# SKR-XSTOP
###############
[fan_generic nevermorefilter]
pin: PB15
max_power: 1.0
shutdown_speed: 0.0
cycle_time: 0.010
and then in my filament profiles I just added:
SET_FAN_SPEED FAN=nevermorefilter SPEED=1.0
and
SET_FAN_SPEED FAN=nevermorefilter SPEED=0.0
to have it automatically turn on and off during a print.
