this goes around a filament spool and snaps on to the spool holder. you slide the filament through the slot in the guide hole in the guide guide.

this way you can place or remove the filament guide without removing the filament.

the idea is to keep the filament centered tand to keep it from going over the sides.

this is made for my cr10 but may be useful for other printers.
