My son was interested in flower pressings and got a small kit for his birthday. It was fine but difficult to get a good display bc of the low tolerances of the frame it came with. Also, instead of glass it came with some plastic sheets that scratched easily and didn't hold the pressings well. 

I told him I would make one for him with better tolerances and this is what I came up with. 

I printed with PETG (just bc I like transparent PETG) but I haven't tried it with PLA yet.  I used 6 M3 8mm screws and nuts to secure the frame. I needed glass which I didn't want to buy so I used what I had. 2 pieces of glass that are 101.5mm x 152.5mm x 1.5mm (4”x6”) each. They came with some 4x6 picture frames from Amazon that my wife purchased a while ago so I snagged them. They are still sold and I will include a link below. You can also just buy the glass pieces.

The front frame piece is pretty straight forward to print. The rear frame piece needed some supports for the nut recesses.

The flowers in the frame are from my house plants.  Ones that I had available.  I press my flowers in an old book with nice absorbent pages with a weight on top before I add them to the frame. 

I found the stand model on Printables.  The link to the stand is below. I expanded the scale to 120x55x15. I paused at the end and added beach sand to make it heavier. I set the infill to 10% to make room for the sand. Be mindful of the type of infill you use if you plan to add sand so there is room for it to level. Don't forget to turn off the fan as well or you will have a big mess on your hands ( I learned that the hard way). I usually add some black foam that they use in mechanic tool drawers to the base of stands. A little double stick tape is enough to hold the foam and it doesn't damage your print like other adhesives do.
