Do we agree it's totally normal to have gridfinity in your kitchen drawers? I think so. 
Steak knives I bought usually came in a set of 4 which fit well into a 6x2 grid. You can stack them if your knives are not too tall. 
For the random assortment of single knives I also made a version that fits 5 in the 6x2 grid.
