My pinda mounting broke and knocked my pinda when it hit a big print blob. I dug this jig I had for years to reseat my pinda elevation, then readjust the z-offset according to the jig's designed for when I need to do a quick print recently without figuring out manually of the pinda's elevation and offset.

My initial pinda helper didn't have embossed z-offset value but I remade one with the z-offset value onto the model so we won't forget.

This pinda helper are meant for prusa mk3s series, I'm not sure if this can be used on prusa mini

There are 2 values embossed onto the side of the jig.

• Higher value are meant to be used with powder coated sheet
• Lower value are meant for smooth sheet
• Higher value means the pinda will be close to the bed or same elevation as the tip of the nozzle

Both powder coated and smooth sheet has a difference of about 300microns apart.

To use this jig

1. Loosen the mounting clamp.
2. Push the pinda downward.
3. Use the jig to push the pinda back until the jig touches the mounting clamp
4. Tighten the pinda clamp while the jig still touches the mounting clamp.
5. Dial in “z-offset” or “Live Adjust Z” to the printed value of the jig you used according to the sheet that you used
   1. Powder coated is higher value
   2. Smooth pei is lower value
6. Do first layer calibration.
7. The final value should be within ~200microns
8. Redo first layer calibration just to be sure

It is recommended to print these either 0.20 or 0.10mm.
