This is an alternative lid for my coin drop box. 

In order to stimulate fine motor skills for my 1-year old, I designed this lid that lets her insert popsicle sticks in narrow slits.  The slits are cross-shaped so it's a little easier as it can be rotated 90 degrees.

It's based on toys typically used in Montessori.
