I'm constantly wrapping my insulating tapes in nylon to keep dust off.

Inspired by https://www.printables.com/model/1435426-side-protection-for-electrical-insulating-tape-sei, I designed a fully parametric, two‑part sleeve that snaps together and stays secure. 
Print the parts with a filament that offers strong layer bonding (PLA+ or PETG works best).
Right after printing, assemble the two halves and give them a gentle twist‑pull to engage the interlocking mechanism; this makes removal easy once the tape is in place.

Parameters

Outer diameter – set about 1–2 mm larger than the tape width.
Inner diameter - set about 1 mm smaller than the tape's actual width for a snug fit. 
Thickness - specify the exact wall thickness you need.

In order to customize this, you'll need to have OpenSCAD (nightly builds recommended) with BOSL2 installed.
