Summary
I needed a spool holder for my Huxley 3D printer. It's build plate however is only 140x140 mm which is too small to print a decent spool holder. As I couldn't find a spool holder on Thingiverse that has been optimized for this small build plate, I created one myself with inspiration from 'Another Filament Spool Holder' (see remixed from), which is based on smaller parts.
This design is printed in 7 parts, which snaps together into one solid spool holder. You can also break apart the spool holder in between prints and throw it inside a drawer to save some space.
See the attached rendered image for an exploded version of the design to give you a good idea which parts goes where. In essence, all parts need to be printed twice, with the exception of the beam.
Instructions
Print all parts twice except for the beam (choose either the plain version, or the one with support). All parts should snap together with some force applied. See attached image for an exploded view of the design.
The force of the printhead might work as a lever at high Z and could therefore use something to brace. I didn't need it using blue tape which really sticks. But anyway I've included a .stl file for the beam with support in case you need it.
