This is an adapter that allows you to add a 1 1/4" astronomy filter to a filter wheel designed for 2" filters, allowing a mix and match on a single filter wheel.

The threads of these filters are too fine to create with a 3D printer so I've taken the approach of using a spring arm type arrangement to grip the sides of the 1.25 inch filter and teh same to grip the walls of the 2 inch filter thread.

I am using this and have put a lot of effort into getting the design right, however every printer is different so please check your printed version is suitable for your set-up and won't fall out in hot or cold weather - it's free so there is no warranty or come back if the filter drops out and breaks something! So use common sense!

Note

The design calls for tight tollerences, and a 0.15mm layer height

If the inner filter is a little tight use a sharp knife to trim a little off - do this in small steps until you have the desired effect - this step may not be needed depending on your printer.

This has been an itterative design, print, test and redesign process, the published version is the result of going through this loop 8 times.
