This model draws inspiration from real-life scenarios: when snacks are opened but not finished, they tend to become damp after being left out for an extended period. Our design addresses this issue by incorporating a clever solution. In the first iteration, we opted for a thin-walled structure as a flexible hinge instead of adding a traditional pivot; however, with a wall thickness of just 0.4 mm, the structure proved too rigid to bend smoothly. In the second and third iterations, we reduced the wall thickness by 0.1 mm each time—by the third version, the thin walls were finally able to achieve the desired flexibility. Yet due to structural constraints, the thin-walled sections had to be printed in a suspended, unsupported configuration, which significantly compromised their durability. To overcome this challenge, we introduced a pivoting joint design, dramatically improving the model’s longevity and reliability. The fifth iteration—and current version—features an optimized snap‑fit mechanism that ensures a more secure and robust connection. The model has been refined for optimal print orientation, minimizing support structures while maximizing printing speed; it can be completed in as little as half an hour. If you spot any areas for improvement, feel free to share your thoughts—we’re always open to constructive feedback and eager to incorporate high‑quality suggestions from the community. Finally, we invite everyone to download and print this model—it’s ready to bring a touch of practicality and creativity to your daily life!
