This is a roller footrest. Designed to give optimal and ergonomic foot positioning.
I have made the designs to be modular depending on if you need it to be taller you can add spacers and if you need it to be longer you can load the STEP file and stretch out the spacers to lengthen or shorten the whole design.
I was worried about the structural integrity so this is designed with a plywood core that everything mounts to (there is a detail print in the pictures to cut your core) Once everything is printed you will use flat head and button head screws to assemble the final product. There is a picture of the BOM follow that for quantity of prints and how many screws you will need for a complete assembly.
Each piece will fit onto a 200 x 200 print bed and fully assemble the foot rest is 356mm x 229mm x 114.5mm (14in x 9in x 4.5in)
I have provided exploded views and a STEP file so you can see proper assembly. If you do not have the ability to view the Step file assembly instructions are below.
Assembly:
- Clean up support material and fit all your covers and spacers together before assembly. They should slide together snuggly.
- Take 2 “Corner Cover’s” and 1 “End Cover” and fit them together. Slide them onto the end of your “Plywood Core”. Fasten the “End cover” onto the core with 2 BHCS (Button Head Cap Screws).
- Repeat step 2 to the other end of your core.
- Slide both “Footrest – Ribs” under the “End Cover”.
- Loosely screw the “Center Cover” onto the core. Leave it loose so it does not interfere with the side Covers.
- Fit 2 “Side Cover’s” and 1 “Side Spacer” together. Slide them onto the core and secure it with 4 BHCS.
- Repeat step 6 on the other side.
- Tighten the “Center Cover” BHCS.
- Flip the assembly over and place the rollers .5” from the end “End Covers”. Fasten them to the core with 2 FHCS (flat head cap screws) per roller. (If you want your footrest taller. Print out spacers and add them during this step)
