This 3D printed reflector works by having many small squares on the optics in different orientations.
To achieve the effect, the optics must be painted with a chrome effect spray.
You will need these printed components:
1x reflector
1x case
1x holder
1x strap
You will also need an M4 nut and a M4x15 cylinder head screw.
And of course some chrome effect spray.
You can print the components from any filament, but the cooling settings should be well adjusted so that the small squares of the optics are printed cleanly.
Only the strap needs to be printed from TPU, as this will later be used to attach the reflector assembly to your bike.
Printsettings:
Please print the reflector upright in this orientation so that the small squares are printed cleanly.
I also recommend a layer height 0,08mm and a speed of 30-50mm/s.
The holder should be printed in this orientation so that the small latches can absorb the forces of the strap well and do not break off so easily.
Assembly:
First, the reflector part must be painted with the chrome effect spray so that the light can be reflected.
Then the reflector part must be glued to the case and the whole thing connected to the holder using the screw and nut.
Finally, the strap just needs to be threaded through the slot in the holder and the whole thing attached to your bike.
