This is a simple manual turn table that you turn by grabbing each of the gear “pegs” and pulling it towards you. i have already produced some very nice looking Scans using this. you can also create a “3D scanning box”. basically a box with a black background for 3d scans. its kind of difficult to center the pieces together but with some common sense, its pretty easy, and it doesn't need to be perfect. it should work even if centered bad. i just used a ruler, measured the diameter, then took half and made a mark on x and y axis. i also added an example scan i made with a not great camera, but it turned out very good. 

i used the app PolyCam to make the scan, i recommend it. its very nice.
