An ink guide to be used on an M3D printer to control the travel of your ink.

Recommended for external ink source.

No special scaling required. Designed to be the correct size to slot onto the top frame of the printer. May need to adjust orientation depending on your preferred print orientation.

I designed the part on Autodesk 123D Design and exported into Autodesk MeshMixer to check mesh quality for 3D printing.

Measurements were taken directly from the M3D printer and the print tested. There may be some sanding required on the part that slots on the printer but this depends on how you like your fit i.e. tight or loose.

Recommend printing at medium quality and medium fill or greater.

This is version 2 - refinements made on the slot for a filleted edge, to allow for smoother slotting. Decreased width of overall piece and smaller keyhole. Removed element that fixed to outside of printer as this prevented the guide from slotting on. In addition, refinements reduced overall printing time by about half.
