When sharpening your knife it is important to consitently use the same angle. The sanding pyramid helped me to start with the right angle at the beginning of each wipe over my sanding block.

The sanding pyramid supports a 15° and a 17° angle. This should be fine for most of your knifes used in the kitchen. I've sharpend all of my knifes with the 15° angle and my pocktknife with the 17° angle.

Additionally there is a 20° and a 25° angle on the sides. Not sure if this can be used, but it looks nicer ;)

Attention

Please note that you may scratch the surface of your knife with the pyramid. I sanded mine before using it!

I complete destroyed the surface of my main cooking knife with another sharpener tool from thingiverse. That one had a rail to keep the angle while swinging the knife ower the sanding block.

Beim Schleifen eines Messers ist es wichtig einen konstanten Winkel beizubehalten. Besonders zu wenn man noch nicht so viel Übung darin hat kann eine Schleifhilfe hier unterstützen.

Die Schleifpyramide hat eine 15° und ein 17° Seite. Diese reicht grundsätzlich aus alle Messer für den Küchenbedarf zu schärfen. Ich habe bislang alle Küchenmesser mit 15° geschliffen. Für mein Taschenmesser verwende ich die 17°

Zusätzlich ist noch ein 20° und ein 25° Winkel angebracht. Diese sind für mich eher aus optischen Gründen angebracht. Man könnte damit vielleicht eine Axt oder Rasenmähermesser schärfen.

Achtung

Die Pyramide könnte die Oberfläche des Messers zerkratzen. Ich habe meine daher abgeschliffen.

Mit einer andere Schleifhilfe von Thingiverse habe ich mein Lieblingsmesser komplett verkratzt. Diese Schleifhilfe wird über eine Schiene über den gesamten Block geschoben. Das Messer hat daher immer den richtigen Winkel, aber auch immer Kontakt mit der Schleifhilfe.
Mit meiner Schleifhilfe habe ich bislang kein Messer mehr verkratzt (ich hoffe das bleibt so). Seid also vorsichtig!
