Fully parametric box generator in OpenSCAD

This is a feature library for OpenSCAD for rugged boxes that can be printed at once. It is not designed for boxes with separate bottom and top parts.

There are two versions - English and Czech. Each version is in a separate zip file.

Uncompress appropriate zip file into some folder, open the *.scad file in OpenSCAD, show Customizer (menu Window → uncheck Hide Customizer) and enjoy :-)

There is a combo box in Customizer near top right corner, where you can save your own designs and switch among them very quickly. You can find there two demo designs (boxes) - “test1” and “VNA” for better idea.

You can adapt the program for your needs of course.

Boxes have to be printed in unfolded form - set lid rotation to 180 degrees and paw (lock) rotation to 90 degrees. Then press F6 to compute the whole solid and save it as STL file.

In “generating of resulting solid” section you can find combo box “output”. You can select the resulting body of generation - either only box without graphics on the lid, box with embossed graphics, or the graphics only for multimaterial printing.

If you want to print parts of the box using different colors (for multimaterial printing), you can do it easily in slicer. For example you can print paws for lock in color one, paint the sealing of the box for printing in color two, graphics (separate STL generated by program) in color three etc.

Graphics on the lid consists of three parts - one picture in SVG format (in the same folder with given filename, “logo.svg” for example) and two texts. Graphical logo and both texts can be separately scaled, moved and rotated on the lid.
