I needed some magnetic hooks to hold things such as my headphones to the side of my PC case, or to hold a dog leash on the fridge. There are two models provided. One model has three 12x3mm holes for magnets. The other has three 8x3mm magnet holes.
The size of the hooks is 55mm wide x 75mm tall. The interior of the hook is 40mm wide x 17.5mm tall.
Print Settings:
- 0.4mm Nozzle
- 0.2mm Layer Height
- 15% infill is good enough
- No supports needed
Post Processing:
- Some filing may be needed for the magnet holes, as the slicer tends to make the top and bottom more flat than round.
- The holes are tight enough to press fit the magnets in without needing glue. I have been using them for a few days without the magnets being glued in and all is good so far.
- The magnetic hooks can slide down if a sufficient weight is applied due to the friction being low between the magnet and the metallic surface it is mounted to. I resolved this for the most part by adhering a piece of rubbery tape to the back of the hook to increase the grip against the surface it is attached to.
EDIT:
Per Request, added version with three 10x2mm holes for magnets.
