This model gasket is designed to be double-side taped to the door of the X1C Carbon. This is currently a rough draft of measurements.
This does indeed insulate the glass door of the printer. It IS NOT completely airtight, but it does keep the heat generated during prints within the dimensions of the printer. Before adding the gasket ambient air temps would be no higher than 32°C when printing PA-CF with Bambu settings. Just recently tested new temps while printing Hydra AMS with PETG and shows that the air temperature sits comfortably at 39-40°C.
The images show that it is slightly visible from the outside, but doesn't interfere with the visibility and the magnets on the door. It is recommended if replicating this to print with TPU 95A on Smooth PEI (or Bambu High Temp PEI), as it will give more contact with the door, not allowing too much air pass through the gasket.
Like I mentioned on the top, this is very much a WIP! Any advice or support to help make this better for your needs are appreciated. Right now this is a engineering file as I will be updating this occasionally once I get more accurate measurements of the clearance between the door and the printer.
I have included the full scale file if you have a printer big enough to print it all at once. There is also two other files that are sliced up accordingly to fit on smaller bed sizes (I sliced my gasket on Orca Slicer to better fit my X1C).
