I printed this with standard settings for PLA, glued the mounting blocks to the pivot pin. the middle section is like 4 parts including a spacer for the two “bars”, super simple to put together and operate. As of right now I have some super strong double-sided tape holding them on the machine. (gorilla brand) If u have any questions or improvements please let me know! thanks! oh, you have to make two copies of the bar parts to total 4 bars.
The fitment is tight and will hold the cover up when fully opened. I leave it opened most of the time. usually switch between it and the front door depending on material.
EDIT** 1/26/25 I've uploaded files as single objects and put two picture up of how i put them together. the picture witrh red arrow shows that one side is thicker by the hole. just make sure which ever you choose its the same on the other side. ( thicker side out or in) also a picturte showing how they are put together. i printed these with standard PETG setting in flashprint just lowering the speed down some. the rest goes as follows:
.10-.16 layer height
10%-15% infill (or solid)
3- top and bottom layers
WORKING PROTOTYPE. WILL FIX ANY ISSUES WHEN THEY ARRIVE.
10/20/24 still going strong. the tolerances are tight so there is minor sanding/filing to fit. worked it down to where it is now. I like the tight fit personally. Im sure if you wanted to you could adjust it to your liking. still though in my eyes it's worth it cause i dont have to worry about where is set the lid or forget that it isn't on the top and drop something in lol (like i already did) hope yall enjoy!
10/27/24 I just added just a set of hinges you can mount using the screw from the enclosure kit the ST2.9*9.5 ones.
will be making a keeper that holds it open while the machine shaking and when
the joints eventually wear in.
