works well as a strapless holder but I included a slot for a strap incase you want a bit of additional reassurance.

Ive used it all day on my silly fast 250quad without a strap and its not once came loose but a less healthy battery might give off enough heat to soften the grip sufficiently to pop the cap so a strap is advisable.

can be used as a simple "hardcase for your battery or one side can be permanently fastened to your frame as I have done which pretty much guarantees your battery wont shift about.

its designed to accomodate 2s - 4s lipo's of average thickness (aswell as the 3s 2200mah battery pictured)

Ive also landed on it repeatedly without issue and it gives a nice flat surface to sit the frame down on which saved me adding legs to the model.
