Summary
Hi, here is a great bed support for the Ender 5 / 5 pro. It is a bit of a remix of (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4842701). Here is what changed.
• Modified the strut connector to make to accept a M8 thread to allow adjustability in the length of the strut with an M8 nut.
• Redesigned the support/bearing clamps for greater strength and to lower the connection point to give a greater angle on the struts.
• Added a flat to the strut pin connector to allow easier/stronger printing.
Options/build:
You don’t have to make the struts adjustable but I highly recommend it. This ways you can adjust the loading between the bed and the strut it really helps to firm up the bed.
See stl with all parts for suggested parts orientation when printing. (no supports needed)
Non printed parts:
4 bolts M5x25 (or longer) and nuts
8 bolts M5x20 (or longer) and nuts
Aluminum tubing O.D. 10mm, I.D. 8mm. Cut two pieces (as pictured 148mm to accommodate adjusters or 170mm for non adjustable).
2 M8 hex nuts
2 M8x45 bolts (or longer). Or use M8 threaded rod and cut to length. I used bolts and cut off the heads.
