Summary
This is a rear parcel shelf lifter for the Tesla Model S.
Inspired by the now removed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3721952 and incorporating the clip from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4285139 this auto lifts the rear parcel shelf in the Model S when the liftgate opens. It has a quick release clip which allows the shelf to be removed easily.
Recommend one each side, but it seems to work with just one.
Best printed in PETG or ABS to withstand summer heat.
The red print is PLA for my testing, this was printed at 20% infill, no supports, no raft and works well. The only problem likely being durability in the summer.
My final print was meant to be PETG in black, but this proved much harder. I'm not very experienced with non-PLA prints, so this took a lot of experimentation and fails. PETG is also more brittle...
My final good results for the PETG prints were -
The window mount on its side, no supports 100% infill.
The top clip on its base, supports, 100% infill
- The shelf lifter on its back, no supports, 50% infill
Post-Printing
Put a length of the hook side of Velcro on the shelf mount.

Then thread 2mm cord through the top clip and the shelf mount. Use a figure of eight knot at each end. There should be 33.5cm (about 13 1/4 inch) between each knot.

Installation
The window clip can be inserted at the top of the window and then slid round to about the middle of the side. The shelf clip should be installed about 10cm / 4in inboard from the side, hinge down from the top to get the Velcro to clear and then catch. Lift the shelf manually and insert the clip in to the window mount.
