These bowls resemble the Voronoi images shown at -http://www-wales.ch.cam.ac.uk/~wales/CCD/Thomson/table.html - a site that lists solutions to the Thomson problem.rnrnThe bowl wall thickness is a minimum, (ca. 1 mm), at positions corresponding to solutions to the Thomson problem. If a bright light is aimed at a bowl and the inside of the bowl viewed, circles of light are seen. The circles are at positions corresponding to Thomson problem solutions.
