ESP01S Relay Switch Housing
1. Design Inspiration
When the ESP01S relay module is left exposed, its circuit board is vulnerable to impacts, dust, and moisture. The exposed wiring terminals pose an electrocution risk, and storing or securing the device becomes inconvenient. To address these issues, we designed a custom integrated protective housing that fits the module’s dimensions, safeguarding internal components while providing ample space for wiring and installation. This solution is tailored for home Wi‑Fi-based on/off control applications, enhancing both safety and tidiness.
2. Structural Design
- The housing adopts a split design with a box body and a top cover, featuring pre-drilled screw holes at the corners for easy assembly and disassembly, facilitating maintenance of the internal relay and Wi‑Fi module. The cover is engraved with the device name for clear identification.
- A dedicated window on the top precisely accommodates the ESP01S wireless module, while hollowed-out cable channels on the side walls allow power and load wires to pass through smoothly, keeping wiring neat and organized.
- The interior cavity is partitioned according to the circuit board’s outline to prevent movement or misalignment of the module. Rounded corners further reduce the risk of injury, and the entire structure is optimized for 3D-printed monolithic construction.
3. Functional Benefits
This housing provides comprehensive protection against dust and impact, effectively isolating the circuit board from moisture and prolonging its service life. It also standardizes cable routing, minimizing the risk of electrical leakage from exposed terminals. The robust base ensures stable placement, making it ideal for controlling household lighting and small appliances via Wi‑Fi. Additionally, the modular design simplifies debugging and program modifications, balancing practicality with enhanced protection.
