Design Concept
This model features a cheerful Christmas ornament composed of a hollow spherical shell with a cute holiday elf inside. The elf includes playful details such as a pointed hat, striped stockings, green shoes, and a small gift box, creating a joyful and festive centerpiece. The sphere’s small perforations allow warm ambient light to shine through, enhancing the ornament with a magical Christmas glow.
Print Settings (Hi Combo)
Hi Combo printer; approx. 3–6h print time depending on size; 0.16 mm layer height; 10–20% infill; PLA material.
Sphere prints smoothly with minimal supports; supports only recommended on the inner base if necessary.
Use 3–4 walls for increased strength and stability when hanging.
Slow perimeter speed improves smoothness on the spherical shell and captures finer details of the elf’s face and clothing.
Z-seam positioned on the back of the ornament for a cleaner front-facing display.
Optional: print the elf separately with multicolor filament (red, green, beige, white) for a more vibrant final look.
Assembly
If printed separately (sphere + elf), glue the elf onto the snow-like inner base using CA glue.
Attach a string or cord through the star-shaped hook at the top for hanging.
If printed as a single integrated model, no assembly is required.

Este modelo es un adorno navideño compuesto por una esfera hueca que contiene un alegre duende (elfo) en su interior. El duende incluye detalles divertidos como un sombrero puntiagudo, medias rayadas, zapatos verdes y un pequeño regalo, creando un centro decorativo festivo y encantador. Las perforaciones de la esfera permiten que la luz pase suavemente, aportando un brillo cálido y mágico típico de la Navidad.
Ajustes de Impresión (Hi Combo)
Impresora Hi Combo; tiempo aproximado 3–6 horas según la escala; altura de capa 0.16 mm; relleno 10–20%; material PLA.
La esfera se imprime muy bien con pocos soportes; solo se recomiendan en la base interior si es necesario.
Usar 3–4 paredes para mayor resistencia y estabilidad al colgar.
Velocidad lenta en perímetros mejora el acabado de la esfera y los detalles del rostro y vestimenta del duende.
Z-seam orientado en la parte trasera para una presentación frontal más limpia.
Opcional: imprimir el duende por separado en filamentos multicolor (rojo, verde, beige, blanco) para un acabado más llamativo.
Ensamblaje
Si el modelo se imprime por separado (esfera + duende), pegar la figura sobre la base interior con textura de nieve usando pegamento CA.
Añadir un hilo o cordón al gancho superior con forma de estrella para colgar.
Si se imprime como una sola pieza, no requiere ensamblaje.
