Unlike most Vortex Passthrough models where the vortex part is inserted vertically. Here the Vortex Part is inserted diagonally through the corner, making it a more challenging print.
After some prototyping and many failed prints i decided to cut both elements precisely in Prusa Slicer which gave me a clean print with no supports. I also set the X-Y Size Compensation to -0.4 or -0.5 for a nice and clean clearance tolerance between the final elements.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not force the parts together as they may get stuck and difficult to take apart. After gluing the two elements make sure to clean any glue inside the vortex. You may have to work the parts together. try inserting from both sides or rotation.
Printed with a variety of PLA filaments and 3 perimiters and 15% rectaliniar infill.
I made a small dimple on the parts to help position them correctly while Gluing them together, and use epoxy glue named Poxy Pol. It is transparent and works perfectly.
This is a fantastic project for mixing and matching colors and looks great as a decorative element on the table.
Would love to see what you guys will come up with.
