phone stand that disappears when you're done with it.
Closed, Pebble is a smooth, rounded sliver — 80 × 28 × 8 mm of continuous surface, nothing sticking out, nothing to snag. It lives on your keys or in your coin pocket and you forget it's there.
When you need it, press the dimple: the flap swings back, locks into place, and your iPhone gets a solid perch for a video call, a recipe, or a movie on the train tray table.
Design
- One gesture. The concave dimple on the top face tells your thumb exactly where to press. The flap opens, rotates to 106° and stops — done.
- A stop carved from geometry. The flap comes to rest against the solid rear block along a full-width contact line. The locking function is built into the shape itself, with nothing thin or fragile doing the work.
- Completely flush when closed. The flap doubles as the lid: closed, it covers the slot entirely and the top face becomes one continuous surface with a hairline seam. A subtle snap keeps it shut in your bag.
- Fits every iPhone. The 13.8 mm slot takes anything from a naked phone to a chunky case. The lean angle settles naturally between ~16° and ~27° depending on thickness — thin phones recline a little more, thick ones sit more upright. Portrait and landscape both work.
- Keyring ready. Ø4.8 mm through-hole with rolled edges, sized for a standard split ring.

Two ways to print
Print-in-place (phone_stand_PIP_universal.stl) — one file, flat on the bed, no supports, no assembly. The hinge prints captive with 0.4 mm clearances; free the flap with a gentle wiggle after printing.
Separate parts (phone_stand_base.stl + phone_stand_flap.stl) — for two-color prints without an AMS, or to reprint just the flap. This flap version has a C-shaped snap knuckle: press it onto the base's integral pin and it clicks in place. Both files come pre-oriented for the bed.
Print settings
- Supports: none, either version
- Walls: 3–4 perimeters
- Material: PETG or PLA
- Layer height: 0.2 mm or finer for a smooth hinge
- Snap too tight or too loose? The engagement is one parameter (bead radius, 0.6 mm default)
