Triple-Chamber Pealess Fox Whistle (High-Volume)
This is a high-performance, pealess 3D-printed whistle inspired by the classic Fox 40 design. It features three tuned acoustic chambers engineered to create an incredibly loud, piercing sound that easily cuts through crowd noise, wind, and outdoor environments.
Because it is a pealess design (no moving parts or peas inside), it will never jam, freeze, or fail when wet—making it perfect for referees, coaches, survival kits, and everyday carry (EDC).
⚙️ Technical & Acoustic Details
The whistle utilizes three chambers with specific, mathematically optimized lengths to create the perfect dissonant "beat frequency" (vibrato effect) without needing a physical pea:
Chamber 1 (19,7 mm): ~3.9 kHz
Chamber 2 (17.2 mm): ~4.4 kHz
Chamber 3 (14.9 mm): ~5.1 kHz (5 118 Hz)
These frequencies sit right in the upper limit of the human ear's peak sensitivity range, resulting in a sharp, aggressive, and highly attention-grabbing tone.
Hole diameter: 5.0 mm.
App: Sound Spectrum Analyzer ~3.746 kHz ( Chamber 1 peak frequency ).
🖨️ Recommended Print Settings
To ensure the whistle works perfectly and achieves maximum volume, please follow these print guidelines:
Infill: 100% (or at least 4-5 walls/perimeters) to ensure the internal divider walls are completely airtight. Air leaks between chambers will ruin the acoustics.
Layer Height: 0.12 mm to 0.16 mm ( finer layers keep the internal air channels smooth and the splitters sharp).
Supports: PETG , Support on build plate only (support touching buildplate).
"Support on build plate only" for overhangs, the slicer will only generate supports that can be drawn in a straight, vertical line from the build plate up to the overhang.
¤ Material: PETG (highly recommended for outdoor durability and impact resistance)
