Thank you for downloading my Parametric Compartment Tray Generator for OpenSCAD.
This script allows you to quickly generate custom storage trays for workshops, electronics, hardware, sewing supplies, fishing tackle, modelling, and many other organisation projects.
Features
- Fully parametric design
- Adjustable tray length, width and height
- Configurable wall and floor thickness
- Adjustable number of compartments in both X and Y directions

- Designed for easy 3D printing without supports
Customising the Tray
Simply edit the parameters at the top of the script:
- tray_length – Overall tray length
- tray_width – Overall tray width
- tray_height – Overall tray height
- wall_thickness – Thickness of the outer walls and dividers
- floor_thickness – Thickness of the tray floor
- compartments_x – Number of compartments across the length
- compartments_y – Number of compartments across the width
- outer_corner_radius – Radius of the tray's outside corners
- inner_corner_radius – Radius of each compartment's inside corners
The script automatically calculates the compartment sizes and divider positions.
Printing Recommendations
- Layer Height: 0.20 mm
- Wall Count: 3–4
- Top Layers: 4
- Bottom Layers: 4–5
- Infill: 15–20%
- Supports: Not Required

Future Improvements
