Parametric Gridfinity Tube Tray

A fully parametric Gridfinity-compatible tube tray designed to organize a wide variety of cylindrical items. Whether you're working in a laboratory, electronics workshop, or hobby space, this tray can be customized to fit your needs before printing.

The model allows you to adjust the tray dimensions, tube size, spacing, and height, making it easy to create organizers for everything from centrifuge tubes to pipette tips and countless other small parts.

Parameters

Parameter	Description
Grid Units X	Width of the tray in standard Gridfinity (42 mm) grid units.
Grid Units Y	Length of the tray in standard Gridfinity (42 mm) grid units.
Tube Height (Tip to Shoulder)	Controls the depth of each pocket. Increase this value for longer tubes or deeper support.
Tube Length (Shoulder to Cap)	Used to maintain proper clearance when the optional stacking lip is enabled so stacked trays remain compatible.
Tube Diameter	Diameter of the tube body. No clearance is added automatically, so it is recommended to make this value slightly larger than the actual tube diameter to reduce insertion friction.
Tube Cap Diameter	Diameter of the tube cap. This determines the minimum spacing between pockets so caps do not interfere with one another.
Stacking Lip Bool	Enables or disables the Gridfinity stacking lip. Use 1 to enable the lip or 0 to disable it.

Printing

Prints without supports.
Works well in PLA, PETG, or ABS.
A 0.20 mm layer height is recommended for the best balance of quality and speed.
