The idea and design of the original are both great, but I find the plastic nubs to be too weak to hold much weight. It also creates a lot of wasted plastic to build supports.

This alternative uses screws as hinges, making for a very strong drawer hind. You can also adjust the tightness of the screw to set how stiffly or easily the drawers will open.
