This Contour Map of the Earth displays different heights of land masses, hills and water. The difference in height has been exaggerated or reduced in some cases for print quality. Water levels in particular have been exaggerated for aesthetic purposes.

Earth Contour Map was created from publicly accessible NASA released images. We made a mixture of contour maps using colour levels of the satellite images in GIMP to create a single 'bump' or 'displacement map'. We then used this to 'displace' a plane with over 5 million polygons.
