I just got my CC a week ago and printed all the mods that came loaded on the thumb drive with unit. While printing my first mods I had two failures associated with the filament unwinding causing a knot and wrapping around the filament spindle. Like every one does having a problem with a new machine I looked on Thigiverse and Reddit to see if other people have encountered the same problem. I saw a couple solutions. One helped contain the filament within the width of the sides of the filament spool but didn't really manage the lead in to the filament sensor so I set out to see if I could do something more robust. Here is what I came up with. I've used it now for a week on 10 different prints and it works flawlessly. It keeps the spool centered on the spindle. It prevents the filament spool from drifting up against the side of the CC case and scratching it and it definitely prevents unspooling and getting caught on the spindle. It mounts with no hardware and is easily installed and removed.
