Replacement part for when the cable on your Apple power brick splits and frays right next to the adapter, as they are wont to do.
- Print part.
- Crack open the brick. This is best done by putting the tips of a pair of needle nose pliers in the cutouts under the cable storage hooks and pushing the two halves of the case apart by opening the pliers forcefully.
- Cut out the damaged part of the wire, including the old plug.
- Thread the wire through the new plug.
- Resolder and the cable back together and insulate it.
- Glue brick back together.
The integrated cable saver should hopefully keep that from happening again.
