This phone holder can be customized to fit any phone and most cars. See section "How I designed this" for more information on how to customize.

The version here is customized for the Samsung A70 inside its Samsung Flip Case, and for use in a Volkswagen Passat B8 Variant.

I wanted to have the phone held in landscape mode, as this is most suited for my navigation purposes. And I didn't want to restrict on which side the phone was put in. For this reason I added openings for cable connections (charger, headphones) and added notches for the camera on both sides of the holder.

I also wanted to have a phone holder that was NOT in front of a ventilation outlet because:

• the changes in temperature are very bad for the phone battery
• when driving, I value the ventilation a lot
• cheaper printing material such as PLA could be affected by heat blowing directly at it

So I chose to install the phone holder between the two front blowing ventilators of the passenger side. That part looks like a long ventilator outlet, but in fact most is just a grill that looks like one.

I have made a remix of two Thingiversy things:

• VW Passat B8 Charging device holder by Behcet_Bozkurt licensed CC BY 4.0. I have shrunk it a bit to fit between the two ventilator outlets at the passenger side.
• Ball and Socket Locking swivel components by mistertech licensed CC BY 4.0. I have angled it so I have more reach from the passenger side while driving.
