Too cheap to buy a GoPro, I bought a knock-off style Lightdow product from Amazon. All of the gear that came in my order for mounting it was practically the same as GoPro, but the camera itself followed a different form-factor. Smaller and ports and buttons in different places.
Since the original use was to take some video in a pool, the waterproof case was great. But when we took a trip to Disneyland, I wanted to have something with easier access to buttons, screen, and, more importantly, an uncovered mic.
So I designed this little thing. After several failures to create something that was sturdy enough to take some abuse, I settled on this design. I created the shell then used some GoPro mount code I found in another SCAD file here on Thingiverse and merged it with the bottom.
The result is a fit that secures the camera well, allows for easy access to all ports and buttons, and allows the camera to easily be removed or inserted without problems.
