I wanted a webcam cover for my laptop but most of the covers on thingiverse seemed to be quick designs that lacked strength, consistency or were simply too hard to mount. So I built my own.

It's not radically different than many others but it does provide a nice assembly and smoother operation. Most importantly, because it has a back, it is very easy to stick enough double sided tape on it to make mounting easy without messing up the operation.

I tried to keep it as thin as possible (<1.2mm) so it should fit on most laptop cameras and still allow the laptop screen to fold properly (a bit tight on new Apple MacBook Pros)
