Battery Retainer Ring for Geberit AquaClean Remote Control
The small plastic legs that hold the CR2032 cell in place inside my Geberit AquaClean remote broke off after a drop. Without them the battery slides around and loses contact with the pins, so the remote cuts out at random.
This ring drops into the battery compartment and holds the cell centred. It reuses the original battery cap — no glue, no modification to the remote beyond removing the broken stubs.
How to fit it
1. Remove the battery cap and take out the cell.
2. Break off and clean away all remaining stubs of the original retainer legs, so the compartment floor is flat.
3. Drop the ring in, insert the cell, and close the original cap as usual.
The two openings at 12 and 6 o'clock clear the contact blocks. A thin bridge passes over each block and keeps the ring in one piece — if a bridge ever breaks, the two halves still work exactly as before.
Fit
Dimensions are taken from my own remote (OD 28.63 / ID 20.40 / H 4.01 mm). The OpenSCAD source is included and fully parametric. If the cap does not close, increase top_gap; if the cell still moves, reduce battery_clearance.
