For older printers that lack automatic filament-replacement functionality, you may need to manually splice the filament. This tool is specifically designed for that purpose.

For older printer which cannot automatically feed new filament, you may need to connect them manually, this tools if just for such purpose.

Use the Clamp to fix the two ends, press them to the heated soldering tip, when the ends are melted, remove the soldering tip, and press the ends together, wait for cooling, and take them out of the clamp..
