This is a mount for attaching a micro switch such as this one from E3D to the hotend carriage of a V-Core 2.0 printer. The length of this part is such that the Z probe just clears the right-hand Z lead screw when the hotend carriage is at the max X position. If you're not careful here, you might rip off your Z probe bumping into the lead screw. Don't ask me how I know this :-(.

Mounting the switch to the hotend carriage rather than to the end of the X gantry simplifies cable management, since there are cables running from the hotend carriage anyway. Mounting the switch to the frame would require some more finesse in the homing procedure so we don't run into the switch sideways, thus I decided to mount it to the hotend.

With my V-Core kit, the two screws at the top of the hotend carriage were long enough so that I could re-use them when attaching this part. Otherwise, you might have to use slightly longer screws.

The gap in the reinforcement rib at the top is so that I can get to the excentric spacer of the hotend assembly with a wrench.
