Creality Vacuum Pump Insert for Multibin

This is an improved-fit vacuum pump insert designed for the Multibin ecosystem.

The original insert concept works, but in practice the tolerances were extremely tight and it did not integrate cleanly when using a mechanical top rim instead of glue or magnets. This version rebuilds the insert geometry with adjusted clearances and proper compatibility with the Multiboard Top Click Rim.

The insert drops into a standard 2×2×1 Multibin shell and is mechanically retained by the Top Click Rim — no adhesives required.

Printing Notes

• Print upside down
• Supports required (tree supports recommended)
• PLA tested; PETG also works
• 3 walls recommended

This orientation significantly reduces material usage. The horizontal pocket surfaces will not be cosmetically perfect, but this has no impact on function.

Assembly

1. Place the insert into the Multibin shell
2. Install the Top Click Rim
3. The rim mechanically retains the insert
