Articulating Kangaroo – Print in Place 3D Model
This is a cute articulating kangaroo designed to print in place with smooth moving segments. The model has a relaxed sleeping pose and rounded shapes that make it both fun and visually appealing. The articulated body allows the sections to move slightly once printed, making it a great desk toy, display piece, or small gift.
The model is designed to print easily without supports and works especially well when printed in PLA. PLA gives the best results with clean detail and smooth articulation.
Recommended print settings are a 0.2 mm layer height, 10–15% infill, and 2–3 walls. No supports are required. A brim is optional if you have bed adhesion issues.
Print slowly on the first layer to ensure good adhesion and clean joints. After printing, gently move the segments to free the articulation if they feel slightly tight.
PLA is the best material for this model because it prints cleanly and helps keep the joints working smoothly. Neutral browns, orange tones, or matte PLA can give the model a natural kangaroo look.
