Description

This model is a wall mount for Matchbox or Hot Wheels cars, which I originally designed for my personal dream car – the VW Golf 1.
The mount is designed to be attached without visible screws. Instead, I chose an adhesive solution so that the model car is neatly presented and no longer stands somewhere where you have to wipe around it when cleaning.

Construction Details:

• Back side provided with 20 mm adhesive surface (tested by me with 19.5 mm strong power adhesive tape from Würth).
• Holds extremely well on smooth surfaces, as both tensile and compressive forces are absorbed by the shape – similar to a fin.
• I additionally fixed the model car itself to the wheels with three tiny dots of superglue.
• Print time: approx. 30–45 min.
• Material: PLA Yellow (other colors will surely look even better).
• Printed with 0.4 mm nozzle, Bambu Slicer & X1C on the standard plate.

The mount is particularly suitable for flat surfaces. If desired, the model can also be provided with screw holes, but my goal was a screw-free, clean look.

Now my little dream car hangs prominently on the wall – reminding me of it every day
