I wanted to use an old microphone stand to hold a phone for timelapse on my 3d printer but couldnt find any that would fit nicely.
I designed this to be mounted with a single bolt to the boom. If you have a thick case on your phone or wanted to scale down a little you might be able to friction fit your phone. I can do this with one of the older phones I have. In case what you want to mount is thin though, I've added some tabs you can see from the pictures that you can use any rubber bands lying around to hold in portrait or landscape or anyway you like really.
It's a simple quick release to move the phone out if needed but positioned right, you should be able to get to any on screen controls.
Theres some tiny supports needed for the tabs and bolt hole.
