This is little keychain for Leatherman flat bits. There are two magnetic slots for two bits, and it is fully parametric!
The two slots have a pocket from the bottom for an easy insert of a magnet (see photos). This keeps the (metal) bits nice and secure in the keychain, so they won't fall out. I tested this with a real small neodymium magnet and it held up pretty tight, so it works pretty well.
This model is fully parametric! This means it's quite easy to mess around in Fusion 360 or equivalents to customise to your needs. For example, you can change the dimensions of the bit or the magnet from the original 6x1.3mm magnet. If you would like, flick me a message and I can add something like another magnet dimension variant.
In terms of printing, I did mine on an Elegoo Neptune 4 and it came out fine. I have set the tolerance for the dimensions to be 0.5mm, so the bits are a tad loose, but feel free to adjust for a more friction based fit. No need for supports.
After printing the small insert piece for the back end of the magnet pocket may need sanding before going into the pocket, we had to take off just a smidge.
In terms of assembly, it's pretty straightforward;
squeeze magnet into magnet hole on the bottom of the print
put the little insert into the hole after the magnet
thread some string through the string hole on top
Hope you enjoy this model! Would appreciate a like ;)
